Makerbook is one of my many side projects. I created Makerbook out of the need to have all of my creative resource bookmarks in one place, hence the name ‘Makerbook’. Right from launch the site was incredibly popular. At it’s peak, Makerbook was getting an incredible, server-crashing 345k visits a week. It made the front page of Reddit, top Product Hunt and was popular on Hacker News. I created the whole site in WordPress, I did the branding, user experience and the user interface. I also created the two accompanying, hugely popular social channels on Twitter and Facebook.
